Over the years, fountain control has become one of the largest segments of our anemometer business. We didn’t know this when we started, but it turns out that large water features (and some not so large) will lose lots of water, and get people and cars soaked if the wind picks up. Having a fountain control system in place is the best way to avoid water loss from jets, thus preventing the area around a fountain and the spectators from getting wet due to the action of the wind.
Anemometers are especially important for interactive fountains and water features. These need a way to detect high wind speeds that may interfere with their jumping water jet programs. When the anemometer detects high wind speeds, it will send a message to the fountain system controls to turn off the fountain to prevent unruly sprays.
While there are wind monitoring systems for fountains, we found many of them lack the simplicity and accuracy that we demand from our products. So, we created our Complete Fountain Control Package. Our Complete Fountain Control Package comes with every component you will need to simply and accurately implement a reliable and cost-effective fountain control system. Put simply, it is the ideal solution for your fountain control needs.
The Complete Fountain Control Package includes:
- Wireless Anemometer, ET-101, p/n 003001
- Wireless Display, ET-20TS, p/n 003005
- Power Connection Cable Assembly, p/n 003013
- NMO Antenna Cabinet Mount, p/n 003110
- NMO Antenna Cable 3m. (10ft.), p/n 003118
- Aluminum Stub Mount 25cm., p/n 003129
- Time Delay Relay, p/n 003205

This all in one fountain control solution is easy to install and use. Simply place the ET-101 wireless anemometer where it will most accurately measure wind speed and put the ET-20TS wireless display down in the vault by the pump controller. That’s about all you have to do.
For years we have been providing fountain control systems to Greenscape Pump Services, Inc., a registered design and engineering firm out of Carrolton, Texas that specializes in innovative design and engineering for water projects that require ‘moving water with a purpose.’ We are honored to have played a little part in many of their breathtakingly beautiful fountain and water feature projects.
The water feature shown below is located at the Energy Center 3 in Houston.
